Hot Lead and Cold Feet

Isn't it strange that both Don Knotts and Darren McGavin, who both were in the 1978 movie "Hot Lead and Cold Feet" both died a day apart?

Red Stars on Houses

One of the strange things I have been researching are red stars on houses. As far as I can tell, they are called "barn stars" and are connected with the Pennsylvania Dutch. However, why they seem to appear on houses dating from the 1950s still makes me think...

Here's a picture.

The Six Degrees of Separation of the Internet

Originally, I had heard that there were six degrees of separation - 4 people on Earth - that separate you from anyone else on Earth. What I am finding out is that there are fewer than that. I have contacted and been responded to by a few net celebrities. Maybe fame does not need to go as far as it used to with the internet. Everybody out there has their own fans.

Oswald and the Herringbones

Here's a link to an old band that I ran across at Michigan Tech: Oswald and the Herringbones. Just a link in case you needed it. Lots of mp3s there.

Happy February!

So far, so good, at least the home page seems somewhat navigable. I'd like to clean it up even further, but...well you know. That takes time.

Time to record another podcast....check out Your Freaky Life. Yep, another link to promote my own podcast. I'd rather have more people calling in than more listeners. The whole reason I started it was so I could get people calling in with their strange stories. Ah well...another experiment...we'll see how long it lasts.
