Podshow Dumped By Sirius!
According to this site, none of the Podshow shows are showing up on Sirius Satelite. I checked it out and couldn't find any trace of the shows. Beginning of the end?
Update: Found this on the Podshow website:
Ah well, I'll miss doing the Sirius shows. It was great while it lasted and thanks to P Dub and Brian Noe for all the help and hard work.

Update: From The Rock and Roll Geek Show
The Sirius Satellite Window is now Closed
April 24th, 2007
After 2 years of having a show on Adam Curry’s Podshow on Sirius Channel 102, Podshow and Sirius have terminated their relationship.
It was pretty cool to say I had a show on Sirius, even if no one listened. And it definitely didn’t hurt in getting interviews.
I am pretty bummed out but it was bound to happen sooner or later. 2 years was a pretty good run. I will do my best to continue to get quality guests on the show. (Actually, Shane will)

Death of My Palm
A while back, my Handspring Deluxe got dropped. That took out the rightmost 7 or so columns of pixels. Not enough to warrant getting a new one. Then, something else happened (not sure quite what), and the screen was totally shattered. So, instead of running out and getting a new one, I tried using the PocketMod paper PDA. Although, from time to time I do miss the Handspring, the PocketMod does most of what I need to do, is battery free, and, best of all, is free! The only thing that I really do miss is having my address list with me all the time. However, my cell phone has my most common phone numbers with me, and I have a copy of my address list in my glove compartment. This happened to be a good step in simplifying and "greening" my life.
On a somewhat related note, I recommend the More Hip Than Hippie podcast if you're interested in being more environmentally conscious. They present a nice set of ideas to "green" your life without being preachy.

Julkalender 2005 and 2006 RSS Feeds
I deleted the RSS files for Julkalender 2005 and 2006. The files are still there for manual downloading, but the RSS feed is dead. Hopefully, that will remove some unnecessary downloads of the podcast, since it is not being updated, and not ever going to be updated. I still have the 'Your Freaky Life' RSS feed active, but may delete it one of these days.
Here are the links for all the episodes. Could definitely use some cleanup, though.

The End of the Your Freaky Life Podcast
Well, I officially ended Your Freaky Life. I was just out of show ideas, and it's kind of annoying to me to leave a show hanging on indefinately. And, as far as I can tell, I am the first (and only) podcast to officially end its run! Wooo!! Congratulations to me for quitting! Or at least having the guts to admit I'm quitting.
I'll probably start yet another podcast in the distant future, but I'll be sure to make sure it's a bit more generic so I'm not tied to just one subject and forced to end the run. At least, I'll probably do "Julkalender 2007", if the kids are interested.

Escapepodder - New feeds found
Here's a few links to some podcasts that are using the totally free Escapepodder software to do podcasting:

Glad to see that Escapepodder is still alive.

Julkalender - Caught up again
I forgot how difficult podcasting can be. Especially this Julkalender, where I'm trying to get out one show per day. I'm caught up again, but keeping caught up is difficult. Actually, now, looking at the date, I'm a show behind again. Grrr!
It's nice to be halfway done, but getting there is a bit tiring.

Julkalender
Julkalender is going ok so far. I'm only an episode or two behind. I forgot how much work it is, putting it together. If you are wondering why it's taking so long, well, rest assured that I'm going to finish it at some point, it's just keeping moving that's difficult.

Julkalender 2006
Julkalender 2006 starts in a few days! I think I'll use the old Julkalender 2005 feed to start the new one...I'll have to see how it works out....only a few days left to prepare the show and record a few episodes! Time to get busy. I recorded the theme song, so it looks like it's going to happen!
Haven't done any Coverville Idol - 1973 Edition work yet...hopefully I'll have time for that too...too many projects again.

Coverville Idol 1986!
Finally! Coverville Idol 1986 came out! Download it here!
I'm the 4th song in, playing Sly Fox's Let's Go All The Way. Support me for the win! Vote here!
I really don't care if I win or not...it's all in the competition. However, I hope I get at least in the top 3 so they play the entire song. In any case, on to the next Coverville Idol: 1973.
Details here as I figure out what I'm going to play.

Coverville Idol Update ... More bad news
From Brian Ibbott:
I thought I'd better be the first to let you know. One of the judges came down with a cold, and emailed me that he won't be able to record tonight. We're going to see if it works to do it during the week this week instead of having to wait for Sunday.
Believe me. As disappointed as you are, I am as well...
Well, having just recovered (well, recovering) from a bad flu illness, I can understand that, and I'll be lenient. :-) Either way, still looking forward to it!

Coverville Idol Update
Per Brian Ibbott:
I've gotten confirmation that my judges will be able to record tomorrow night. Crossing my fingers!
Thanks,
Brian Ibbott
Crossing my fingers as well...let's hope my tune sees the light of day!

Julkalender 2006
After the enjoyment of last year's William and Johanna's Julkalender 2005, I'm currently planning to do a William and Johanna's Julkalender 2006. This time, I'm considering recording their voices so they can play their own parts, and then I'll stitch them together and get a more "radio show" like feel.
A Julkalender (or Advent calender) is where the children listen to a story that starts on December 1st and ends on December 24th. The Julkalender last year was done as a podcast...I'm looking to do the same thing this year, but put it together earlier this time so to avoid the rush. Kind of like Christmas shopping.
I still don't know what the theme is going to be yet...either the theme of the Julkalender, or the music theme...we'll see!
Stay tuned.

Me on the Daily Source Code!
Finally! My moment of fame! I finally made Adam Curry's Daily Source Code, episode 388. You can listen to it here. I basically just make a smart comment and plug Your Freaky Life. Somehow I mumbled, though, and "tailwinds" came out as "tailwings". Embarassing. Ah well...bad publicity is better than no publicity!
From the show notes:
#388 Daily Source Code for Tuesday May 16th 2006
